I wear a couple different hats here in the poker room. Just by coincidence, I dealt the final hand of the 6:15pm flight last night when Greg Chill opened, got a short stack to 3B all-in for not even a min-raise, another go all-in for less. He made the easy call with literally a million chips already in front of him. His 77 beat AQ and honestly don’t remember exactly what the third player had, but do know they were both drawing dead after Greg flopped a seven and found a clean turn card.
We were down to 15 players from 126 entrants and shortly before the hand, supervisor let the dealers know that we should halt play if we lost one more player, as we’d go hand-for-hand. The double elimination solved that problem real quick.
Greg is back today with four times the average stack, 100 Bigs for now.
