Joel Lanning’s wife Ezgi took 4th in last weekend’s $600 NL Multi-flight for $16.6K. They’re both here today for 1B of the Mid Atlantic Poker Open $2,200 Main Event ($500,000 Guaranteed).
Ezgi and Joel both tried the $300 Milestone last night, but no dice. The $17K she won in last weekend’s event should help make buying in directly a little easier.
Calais Campbell might beg to differ, as he fired more than that yesterday with eight (8) bullets. He’ll be back later today.
Marshall Tarzy’s son Brett has one of them there real jobs. He finished law school but still plays here and there for fun. Brett came in last night and took his $400 profit from the $1/$3 NL game to the $300 Milestone and spun it up to a seat. He’s at Joel’s table for now.
Justin is over on Ezgi’s table. Possible his wife Caitlyn will sit this one out since their baby is due less than a month from now.
We’ll take dinner from 5:45 to 6:45pm tonight, play three more 40-min levels, then close registration during the 15-min break after that. Last call around 9pm.
Need 147 today to dodge an overlay. More than halfway there at the start of 40 minutes of level 2.
